Every Saturday night between 6.30-7.30pm in Northampton’s Town centre, a group of volunteers from 100 Ladles serve hot food to a growing number of desperately vulnerable and hungry people.
They arrive on Abington Street outside Scope at 6pm and commence serving at 6.30pm.
For many of these people it is the first hot food they have eaten in several days. Blankets, sleeping bags and clothing are also provided.
100 Ladles (Action for Homelessness and Hunger) aims to show homeless people they are not forgotten and that they are an important part of our community. They also collect clothing, camping equipment, toiletries and bedding and distribute on Saturday nights.
