Sarah Hall appointed as Director of Governance and Monitoring Officer at West Northamptonshire Council

West Northamptonshire Council announces the appointment of Sarah Hall as its new Director of Governance and Monitoring Officer.  

With over two decades of experience in local government, Sarah brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record in leadership, service transformation, and legal services management to the role.

Sarah has previously served as Monitoring Officer at Mansfield District Council and has successfully led various high-performing teams across procurement, audit, elections, democratic services, health and safety and legal services. Sarah has been key in creating two new in-house legal teams, both at Mansfield and West Northamptonshire Council, delivering more efficient services tailored to meet local needs.

Sarah’s passion for learning and development has been at the core of her work, promoting the growth of council officers and celebrating their successes. A strong advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion, Sarah has actively worked to ensure that councils reflect the communities they serve, promoting positive change across all areas.

In addition to her new role at West Northamptonshire Council, Sarah is a Non-Executive Director of Solace and a Board Member of EMLawshare, the UK’s largest legal consortium. She is also part of the organising committee of the new Solace East Midlands Branch, further reflecting her commitment to advancing the governance and legal framework across the region.
