Appeal for two potential witnesses of fatal Rushden collision to come forward

Two pedestrians who interacted with the occupants of a car before it went on to be involved in a fatal road traffic collision are being asked to come forward as they may have information which is vital to the investigation.

At about 9.10pm on Friday, June 3, a grey BMW left the road for reasons not yet known at the roundabout junction with John Clark Way, Tyne Way and Spire Road in Rushden.

As a result of the collision, two of the occupants were sadly pronounced dead at the scene. They were a woman in her 40s and a man in his 20s.

Prior to the collision, the occupants of the car interacted with two pedestrians, one on a pedal cycle, near to Windsor Road, and officers would like to hear from these two people as they may have information which could prove vital to the investigation.

The two witnesses or anyone with information is asked to email CollisionAppeals@northants.police.uk or alternatively call the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615 or Northamptonshire Police on 101.
