The annual 'SENDS 4 Heroes' event is taking place on Saturday 29 April.
The event takes place at The Obelisk Centre in Kingsthorpe, Northampton, and free tickets need to be booked in advance.
Whether you're interested in superheroes, cosplaying or Dungeons and Dragons, or you would like to meet 10 year-old autistic author and space fanatic, Aston Smith - there's something for everyone.
The free event is for parents, carers and families of young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and has been organised by SENDS 4 Dad - the county's only support group specifically for Dads of children with SEND.
There will be a chance to talk to artists and get tips, buy your own copy of their art and even help to design a new logo for SENDS 4 Dad working with a professional illustrator who will also be there on the day.
Paul Meadows, SENDS 4 Dads Founder and dad to Connor, who is autistic, said: "It is a chance for our dads and their families to take part in things they enjoy or try something new. And all in an environment that is safe and understanding. I set up SENDS 4 Dad because of my own experience of not being able to find a support group of dads that were in similar situations."
Aston Smith is autistic and has ADHD - which he calls his superpowers! He wrote 'Things About Space' with an accompanying audio version to help neuro-divergent children or those who struggle to read.
Aston Smith said: "I'm excited to share my book with other children with superpowers and I hope everyone enjoys the day."
SENDS 4 Dad is a support group for dads and male carers who have a son or daughter of any age with special educational needs and/or a disability even if it has not been diagnosed.
