Racially aggravated assault in St Giles Street, Northampton: Do you recognise this man?

Police officers have released an image of a man who they believe may have information regarding an incident in a shop in St Giles Street, Northampton.

The incident happened between 6.50pm and 7pm on Wednesday, March 9, when a man was waiting to be served in Costcutter and was asked about his nationality by another customer. When he didn’t respond, the second man became racially abusive and assaulted the man.

Officers investigating the incident believe the man in the image may be able to assist with their enquiries and are appealing for him, or anyone who may recognise him, to get in touch.

Anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
