Sexual assault in Weston Favell, Northampton

Witnesses are being sought after a woman was sexually assaulted as she walked along a footpath which runs behind Weston Favell Police Station.

The incident happened between 5am and 5.20am today (Tuesday, July 12), on the footpath, which leads to Billing Brook Road, when a man inappropriately touched the woman.

The offender is described as black in his early to mid-20s, about 5ft 1in, of a slim build with short, nearly shaven black hair. He was wearing cream/ brown coloured trousers and a dark coloured top.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have been approached in a similar manner or may have seen a man matching the description acting suspiciously in the area between the stated times.
