Woman appears at crown court in connection with attempted murder on Southampton Road

A 34-year-old woman has appeared before Northampton Crown Court today (Tuesday, October 25) charged with conspiracy to murder.

Violeta Florea, of Southampton Road, Northampton, was remanded in custody until Wednesday, December 21, when she will appear before the courts again for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing.

Florea was arrested on Wednesday, October 19, in connection with the attempted murder in Southampton Road, Northampton, after a man was found with a gunshot wound to the head at about 7.20pm on Saturday, October 15. He remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The investigation continues and yesterday (Monday, October 24), detectives from Northamptonshire Police arrested a 30-year-old man in Kent, in connection with this incident. He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
